THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF APPLYING LOGIC AND PSYCHOLOGY TO FORENSIC TACTICS

Abstract

The article provides a general overview of modern views and consideration of controversial issues regarding the application of logic and psychology in forensic tactics. It is noted that in modern science an idea has been developed within the concept of integrative psychology, namely, the integration of empirical psychological research with logical procedures for drawing conclusions and supporting investigative decisions. Logical procedures cannot be considered in isolation from the psychological context: logic allows you to avoid chaos, ensures consistency of actions and optimization of resource use, while the psychological part involves taking into account the personal and behavioral characteristics of participants in the criminal process. Psychology is a necessary complement to logic in forensic tactics, providing an understanding of the behavior of participants in the criminal process, their motivation, emotional states and cognitive limitations.
